This is a VERY important Post today!
One of the biggest keys in getting people to come to
you is knowing what buttons to push.

Simple as this may sound, it’s actually not as straight
forward or as easy as one might think.

It can take some serious organized thought.

Anytime you give your prospect any kind of
message, you have to thoroughly examine it and
make sure that the things you’re trying to sell them
are the things that really matter to them.

To this day, despite the fact that I’ve had this self-
evident truth repeatedly drilled into my head from
countless sales and marketing courses, I still find
myself at times selling the wrong benefits to my
audience.

I’ve learned that it isn’t enough to just walk a mile
in your prospect’s shoes… you have to LIVE in
them.

Pinpointing and fulfilling their true wants and needs
is something you have to obsess over. It needs to
become the predominate thought in your mind.

So let me ask you: In OUR industry, what are our
prospects really after?

More money? More time? Freedom from the 9-5?

Nope.

These are just surface desires that are plainly visible
to anyone at first glance. You have to look past the
obvious. You have to go deeper than that.

(Unfortunately, rarely does anyone in Network Marketing ever
emphasize anything beyond these things).

How about more specifically: Enough money so that
they can take that trip to Italy they’ve been wanting
to do for 5 years? Enough money to pay off all their
credit card debt and their car loan so the only major
monthly payment left is their rent/mortgage? How
about enough time freedom to start exercising for
45 minutes every day like they’ve always wanted
to?

That’s a little better and yes, they are after these
things… but it’s still going in the wrong direction.

These are all end results and they are important, but
there’s still a huge gap in between where they are
now and where they want to be.

It’s your job to fill in that gap.

See, what they’re REALLY after is a way to obtain
these things.

A “how.”

And contrary to popular belief, network marketing is
not a how. It’s a “what.”

If money, time, etc were really all that your prospect
was looking for and network marketing really was
the answer he needed, then merely telling him that
your opportunity can give him a six figure income
while working part time from home would be all
that was needed to sign him up.

Does it work that way? No.

That’s because in reality, network marketing
MIGHT be a way for him to achieve all those things…
it’s just that he hasn’t been convinced of that yet.
He has to clearly see that it will work for him first.

Network marketing is just a vehicle and vehicles don’t
operate themselves. People need to be shown how to
work them.

It’s no different than stocks or real estate – both
vehicles that can help you reach an end goal.

No one needs to be convinced that it is POSSIBLE
to get rich through those two vehicles. Everyone
knows that.

But what they don’t know is HOW to use those
vehicles to get rich. That’s the missing puzzle piece
that’s keeping them on the sidelines.

Same thing with NWM. The desire is already there
(provided you’re doing a good job of targeting the
correct audience). If you can just give them the how,
they will flock to you in droves.

The most burning question your prospect has is:

“Is this going to work for ME?”

They see all the circles and the commission levels
and the big payouts and even all the success stories,
but they need to know how all that’s going to happen
for them.

It’s very hard to visualize a legitimate six-figure-a-
year business being built from the ground up using a
hastily thrown together names list of all the people
they know.

The way you fill in the blanks for them and answer
the question of how it’s going to work is by
emphasizing the most crucial component of any
business: The marketing system being used.

This is the most important benefit of your
opportunity.

(That is… unless you’re using warm market/cold
market prospecting. In which case, this benefit has
basically been destroyed. Because if the way you
came in touch with your prospect was by butting
into their lives with a sales pitch they never asked
for – whether they already knew you or not – you’ve
just shown them exactly how they would be doing
business if they joined your opportunity. And that’s
not good because no one wants to be a sleazy
salesperson. On the other hand… if your marketing
system drew them to you first and all you did was
wait for the call or open your email inbox to find
someone who wants more information, how much
easier do you think it would be for them to visualize
themselves doing what you do? After all, it got them
there didn’t it?)

Most people in our industry go nuts about the
product and the comp plan and even the timing of
the opportunity, but none of that means anything to
a prospect because that doesn’t tell them HOW
they’re going to be able to make it work.

Even if they really ARE getting in on an opportunity
that’s so unique it really does only come around
once in a lifetime, so what? They still have to market
the products and the opportunity to other people to
make any money don’t they? How are they going to
do that?

A good marketing system answers that question because it,

above all else, will determine their success or failure.

It gives them the “how” instead of the “what” -
which is what they’re really looking for.

If you can successfully convey this to them, you’ve
made a bullet-proof case that’s literally left them with
no reason not to take the next step.

When you target the right audience, the question
is not whether or not they want what you’re offering.
The question is whether they believe it will actually
do what you say it will.

I’m going to pose four questions that have the power to totally transform your Network Marketing business starting right now.

But, please, stick with me. Because each answer sets up the next question. Which means you might not “get-it” until the fourth and final question.

But sure as night follows day… before we’re through… it’s going to hit you like…

That stated – let’s dive in.

Question #1: What impact do you want to have on the world?

Reason it’s important: Because if you’re an entrepreneur and Network Marketer, you’ve got big dreams. You want to (I’ll quote Steve Jobs here) “put a dent in the universe”.

And your business is the living, breathing, organism that you’re going to leverage to accomplish it.

My Example: I want to radically increase the odds of success for any entrepreneur who starts a Network Marketing  business offline and/or online… while also drastically improving their life experience. To alter the world of Entrepreneurs all over the world, which then has a viral effect that impacts economies everywhere! That is at the HEART of what an Entrepreneur is and does!

(sidenote: do you see how this gives me all the direction I need to write these blog posts?)

Hint: Think… if you could… really… make the world a better place… who would it impact?… and what change would you want to create?

What Kind Of Impact Can Network Marketing Have On The World?

Something I find so amazing about NWM is the fact that it is a business/industry of people truly helping people. You are only as successful by empowering and sharing with lots of other people. The sharing of training, knowledge, success principles, etc. Where else can you go and find a win-win situation in business, where people are rewarded for by raising people up?

I often wonder how far reaching NWM can go and reach the world and make a difference…

Let’s pretend for a moment that the NWM company you are a part of does business in 30 different countries. And, let’s pretend you are from the United States and you have built your business and your organization and it has expanded into all parts of the world. Now, let us say hypothetically that you now have business partners in Iran or Iraq. Maybe even Afghanistan, Russia, China, etc.

Here is the BIG question-WHO WOULD TAKE UP ARMS AND shoot their ‘check’? What I mean by that is if we are all economically connected and vested in each others success, who would threaten that?

Maybe I am crazy, but I believe this is a way to solve some of our differences in this world. I just wanted to make a note of this viewpoint and see what others had to say.

Next…

Question #2: Why does your business exist?

Reason it’s important: This answer takes your dream and focuses it like a laser beam on what your business should be doing right now.

It’s the North Star for deciding what you want to create,  who and what you’ll need on your team, and countless more big and small decisions you make in your business.

My Example:My Business: Inter(Net)Work Marketing exists to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit in the minds of Network Marketers and Entrepreneurs everywhere… the entrepreneurial drive and desire in the hearts of our team, our company and the world … while Empowering, Teaching, Training, Partnering With and Mentoring people, while also giving advice, tools, and a PROVEN road map to building the Network Marketing business of their dreams!

(sidenote: do you see how this focuses and inspires me and everyone on My team? That our work matters? that we have a bigger vision for ourselves our customers, our prospects and our company than they might even have for themselves?)

Hint: Think about taking your answer from question #1 and clarifying it by figuring out what you’d have to do to actually accomplish it. Also, take it from your personal ambition to a rallying cry for everyone that connects with you and your business (the company management team/founders, team members, prospects, customers, etc…)

Next…

Question #3: Who are your prospects and customers… really?

Reason it’s important: Obviously, your company(if they are a great company) should know what products to bring to market, that are market driven and in demand and help you BUILD SHARE OF EACH CUSTOMER YOU HAVE. You then need to know how to market them effectively…how to position yourself… where you should be marketing… what content will really turn them on… what content will ignite a buying frenzy.. etc. Until you can answer this question spot on!

I suggest you create a persona – Create a RELATIONSHIP with them! ONE-ON-ONE! Get to know their home life… their relationship with friends and family… their biggest worries… deepest desires… major frustrations… darkest doubts… firm beliefs… biggest dreams… insecurities… suspicions…Goals…etc.

My Example: It is very personal… So should yours!

Remember this: These are the most important people in your business life – they hold the key to your success or failure. So you must get to know them intimately.

There’s no doubt you’ve heard you’ve got to love your customers, prospects and business partners – but have you really ever thought of what that means?  You know, what does it mean to love your customers, prospects and business partners? Well, I can’t go into all the details now – but…

Know this: When you fall in love with someone your usually obsessed about learning everything about them… right? So, can you honestly say you’ve fallen in love with your customers, prospects and team members?

Next…

Question #4: What are you really selling?

Reason it’s important: You’ve heard this before… You are not selling grass seed -you are selling a green lawn… you are not selling tickets to a baseball game – you are selling memories of a great afternoon a father and his kids will cherish forever.

When Samuel Johnson was auctioning off the Henry Thale brewery he said “We are not here to sell a parcel of boilers and vats, but the potentiality of growing rich beyond the dreams of avaraice”

Charles Revson, founder of Revlon, summed it up quite well when he said “In the factory we make cosmetics. In the stores we sell hope.

In Network Marketing, we are selling products and services that BETTER improve peoples lives, and we are also Selling Vision, Dreams and Hope!

Know this: THIS IS THE MONEY ANSWER! — remember, all the answers we’ve done up to this point (while valuable in their own right) were done to better prepare you to answer this question – because the answers to this question create…

BREAKTHROUGHS IN YOUR MARKETING AND EVERYTHING ELSE FOLLOWS
THAT’LL EXPLODE YOUR BUSINESS

You need to do this – whether you are alone in your business or you’ve got a team going already)

The difference in performance from one answer to another will astound you, open up new ways to build your business and give you the midas touch in your marketing.

Think about this: Is Starbucks just selling coffee? Is Disney Land just selling rides? Is Porsche just selling cars? Am I just selling Network Marketing, Entrepreneur and Business & Marketing advice?

Today is a unique Post that I wanted to put together…Actually it is more of an experiment.

Can you write a valuable blog post made up entirely of questions?

I think i can, but will you give me your opinion by commenting below once you finish reading it?

Should we begin? I’m ready, are you?

How’s your business going? Is it doing as well as you used to dream it would? Do you think you could improve it right now?

If you were forced to, what could you do right now that would move your business in the right direction? Are you willing to commit to doing it today? If you are willing, will you write it down right now, so you don’t forget?

Do you procrastinate? Why do you think you do it? Do you really enjoy the activities you do instead? If you had to choose, would you say it’s a fear of failure, or a fear of success? Could it just be a bad habit?

If procrastination was just a bad habit, would you be willing to create a new habit of being action oriented instead? If so, can you commit to doing that one thing that’ll improve your business (the one I asked you to write down) as soon as you finished commenting on this blog post?

Do you think this is an interesting experiment so far? Are you getting value out of it? Should I assume if you’re still reading you are? Should I continue?

Have you ever stopped and thought about how much you already know? Can you imagine how different your life might be if you applied everything you already know? Could blog posts like these that just ask questions (instead of telling you more to know) help you use more of what you already know? If so, do you think you might see more blog posts that are made up of just questions like this one?

Do you think if you share really good content with your prospects they would immediately listen to you? What if they already had enough? Don’t we all have enough already?

Well, if good content isn’t enough to get people to follow you, what does get people to take action? Don’t you think people are looking to solve a problem or problems? So, what if your content helped your prospects understand their problems better and showed them how you  can help them solve it? Do you see how much more effective this sort of content would be?

Are you clear what problems your business or your product(s) solves? While I’m sure you know a lot about what you sell, how much do you know about the problem it solves?

Do you know more about the problems your prospects experience than they do? Don’t you think you should? Because if you did, couldn’t you write great content that helped your prospect better understand their problem? And wouldn’t they trust and like you more because you knew their problem so well?

Then when you told them about what you offered and why it was the best way to solve their problem, don’t you think a lot more of them would buy it? Are you now going to learn more about your prospects problems?

Happy Monday Everyone!

We are returning to our Entrepreneurial roots! This is what so many nations were built upon. I want You to think  about you and your life. What do you want to achieve? Why? You can do it in this industry! Think about where our industry has been and ESPECIALLY where it’s going. And most of all, about what you can do, not just to survive, but to thrive and prosper in the years ahead.

The Network Marketing industry can be SO much more! It can be the economic salvation to millions of people all over the world if treated correctly and educates people on the ‘New Network Marketing’ and the Paradigm Shift that is taking place. I want you to be a part of that wave of new opportunity! That is why I felt compelled to write so much on this incredible industry.

We are now entering the age of the entrepreneur. Network Marketing is perfectly poised for an absolute explosion in the current economic environment and offers unprecedented opportunity to an unlimited amount of people.

What is so fantastic about this time in history is that with the age of the entrepreneur comes lots of personal wealth for network marketers. And, as with what is inherently built into the network marketing culture of moral and family values, people helping people, etc., this type of shift with home-based businesses also brings parents home to be with their children, many new personal freedoms and controlling your own destiny.

Network Marketing is an idea whose time has FINALLY come!

What is an entrepreneur anyway? An entrepreneur is the highest profession you can have in life because of the value you can bring to other people. Entrepreneurs create the jobs and stimulate the economy. Most importantly, I know of no other more powerful industry than Network Marketing to bring value to other people through fantastic and unique products and services as well as a financial opportunity that can truly allow any individual to change their life.
