It hit me like a ton of bricks.

I couldn’t believe I’d “missed” it before. I’d read the book many, many times – but this time was different. A “secret” was revealed to me – and today I’m going to give it to YOU.

If you are open and receptive to this passage – you can expect a major breakthrough from what you are about to read.

I suggest you be OPEN.

Here’s the passage:

“Psychologist David Seabury says that the best piece of advice his father ever gave him was to practice positive mental imagery – immediately and “on cue,” so to speak, whenever he became aware of negative feelings. Negative feelings literally defeated themselves by becoming a sort of “bell” which set off a conditioned reflex to arouse positive states of mind.”

Now read this passage again. It comes from the 35-million copy best-seller, Psycho-Cybernetics. I suggest if you do not already have this book, get it as soon as you can. It is a fantastic read!

Pay particular attention to the following words: “the best piece of advice his father ever gave him…”

Those words set the tone for for what the rest of the passage reveals.

Why?  Because whenever something is the “best piece of advice” someone can give you – especially your father, it had better be GOOD.

In reading this passage I not only see this as the best advice I can give my son – but myself, and all my students, business partners and the amazing folks in my coaching programs.

So many people wonder why I am always so calm, cool and collected. Many wonder how I am able to speak before a crowd in a non- chalant, totally relaxed way and still have everyone totally riveted…

Or how I am able to have the success I have had in online marketing and entrepreneurship

Most of the reason is because I have no thoughts of resistance when I speak or write, etc. I’m not concerned about offending anyone. I’m not even trying to get people to like me. I am simply ME, take it or leave it.

Very few people are this way. They’re trying to figure out how to get others to approve of them or like them. Not a good strategy because the more you NEED others to like you the less they will like you.

Same goes with money. The more you NEED it – the more it will stay away from you. Money and friends go where they are wanted – not where they are NEEDED. There is a world of difference between want and need. One attracts. The other repels.

Even if you think you NEED money or NEED friends, so long as you have this thought you are in a repelling state of mind. Never NEED anything. Want is all you want. Want comes from a vibration of “I’m happy already and I’d like to have this, too.” Need comes from a vibration of “I’m miserable and frustrated and I need this thing to make me happy.”

Become aware of negative NEED feelings when they arise – and if and when they do – learn, through practice, to have these feelings immediately trigger the thought to change your vibration into a “feel good” one.

Most people have never been taught this by their fathers – or by any other teacher. They’ve been taught to set goals, to have a burning desire, to be optimistic and have a positive attitude.

But what do you do when you look at your bank statement, or your finances and you immediately begin to feel bad? What do you do when the reality of your situation begins ruining your day? What do you do when you’re feeling frustrated, fearful and worried? You do what Dr. Seabury’s father told him to do and what I’m telling you to do:

First, you “recognize” that you are feeling bad.

Second, you understand that this “feel bad” vibration REPELS what you say you want. Your want is not a want. It’s a need that comes with the expectation of something outside of yourself making you happy.

Third, you recognize that this “feel bad” imagery sends a signal to the Universe that you cannot be happy “for no particular reason.” And that’s not good.

There is a balancing act you are to learn between having a burning desire and having a desire that burns you.

On the one hand having a burning desire creates the necessary mind-set that will create the thing you want. On the other hand, if the desire is connected to “I’m miserable unless I have this thing” – then you are chasing success and that success will always run faster than you do.

Your objective is to attract success; not to chase it. Chasing success is repelling success. You never get what you are chasing. At the end of the month you always come up short; you always need a quick fix. And fixes don’t fix anything.

Several years ago a man sent me an email in which he said I was “chasing the almighty dollar.” I had no idea what he was talking about. I couldn’t even form a mental image of myself doing what he was writing about.

What the man was saying was a reflection of what HE thought I was doing.

He was wrong. When I chased the almighty dollar – and I did that for years – I had no money. When I stopped chasing and learned to attract it – it flowed into my life so fast I was nearly knocked over.

Continually alter and improve your mental pictures so that dollars are chasing you. Anytime you begin feeling as if you’re no longer attracting – then look at what you’re picturing in your mind and see if you’re repelling more than you’re attracting.

At all times the forces of attraction and repulsion are at play. It’s simply a matter of how strong the forces are. If you’re repelling energy is stronger you go deeper into debt. If your attraction force is stronger you get wealthier. If both are equally strong, you feel “stuck.”

Now the question is, what do I do if I am repelling more than I’m attracting?

The answer:

1. You change the way you feel by changing the mental picture you have of your situation. Every time you feel the negative feeling, it’s an alarm that triggers a positive one. A bell goes off inside. “Uh, oh. Not good. Change the mental picture.” You do this over and over and the feel bad vibe lasts less than a second and you’re back to feeling good. Essentially, no one will ever know you even visited the feel bad emotion. It was “here and gone” in the time it takes to click a new photograph.

2. Begin each day with Theatre of the Mind exercises so that you go through the whole day without resistance. Don’t just read positive messages or books. DO the exercises. Stand before the mirror and speak. Picture what you want when you speak. Sit in a chair and use your creative imagination. Recall previous successes and link them to your future.

3. Have a burning desire in mind, a goal. But at the same time don’t expect the goal to give you happiness. You don’t let the desire burn you by feeling bad if you don’t have it yet. In fact, even though you WANT the goal and put your heart and soul into creating what you want – you are also able to “walk away” from the goal emotionally. There is no expectation of your desire giving you anything other than the thing you desire. For example, if you want more money – you don’t expect more money to give you happiness. You simply want more money – and you put yourself into happiness mode NOW.

If you’re happy even though you don’t yet have in your possession the thing you want – then you are attracting it to you.

If you’re unhappy because you don’t yet have in your possession the thing you NEED – then you are repelling it.

So get happy NOW – not later.

Recognize that fear, frustration and angst are only there to help you change course. They’re there to help you see that your mental picture is off-target. Put the right mental image back onto the screen of your mind and watch how the Universe lines things up in your favor.

If success is 90% mental in every field, then you better learn the 90% – don’t you think?

This short article on Network Marketing today is about understanding that you need to take control of your financial future.  There’s no more going to college, getting a degree, and expecting one company to take care of you for the next 45 years.

Today it’s about adapting to the changes in the marketplace and making yourself the most valuable person that you can become in this new economy.  We’re talking about authentic education outside your schooling and what you may have been trained on.  We’re talking about finding a way to take passions, interests, and hobbies of yours, and go out there and use technology to build a business around your passion.

What I’d like to talk about is what so great about this new economy.  The greatest currency in this new economy is knowledge and information. Years ago it was oil, steel, gold, etc. Today it’s information.  How fast can you learn something new, and more importantly, implement that new knowledge?

So with that said, I would like to say that the greatest industry today to get involved in, because of technology, with the least amount of risk and the greatest amount of potential – for not only income but also the ability to teach you leadership, mindset, and marketing – is network marketing today.

There is a home business revolution right now!  Combining online technology with proven systems in place with the companies, and You, Inc. (i.e., your talents, strengths, passions – your business), you can truly build a residual income stream for you and your family for the rest of your life and you’re not dependent on the old economy of going to school, getting an education, and then hoping that education is going to sustain and support you.  We know that’s not the case.

So network marketing today is about adaptation in this economy.  It doesn’t matter if you have a college education, because you don’t have to be the smartest person, you have to be able to understand and leverage the power of internet technology.

There are resources available to build a global business and become an entrepreneur who can make a fortune.  It’s about having a business that can do 6 or 7 figures with no overhead because you’re leveraging technology.

The point is, you should be looking (especially if you’re a business minded person) to work for yourself and become that entrepreneur instead of a worker bee in a cubicle, stagnating your creativity because you have to follow the “rules” all the time.

Network marketing today is about ingenuity, creativity, authenticity – about taking your passions, strengths, and god-given abilities – and turning them into a business.  Your product, passion, idea, knowledge, is someone else’s solution to their problem.  That’s what Network Marketing today is all about.

In today’s industry, you can find a product or service and leverage it for your own business – part time, with flexible hours, around everything you’re already doing – and you can build a business that spans the globe from the comfort of your own home.  It’s all about educating yourself that you don’t need to think in the old ways anymore.

You can adapt and use social media and all the different online marketing strategies and resources to tap into the unlimited vast amount of people, and really build yourself an incredible business so you’re not dependent on a job.  It’s about going back to your entrepreneurial roots so you can do that for yourself.  It’s about You, Inc., and making it happen around who you are, and there’s no better way to do that except for Network Marketing today.

If you’re completely serious about making your MLM business a success, and are truly and deeply committed to achieving your goals, then you MUST being learning online MLM marketing strategies.

Now, obviously because you are reading this article you understand that utilizing the internet is important. If you’re reading this article, you must understand that so are thousands of other people! The internet is an extremely powerful tool. There are 1.8 Billion people at your fingertips!

Now, I don’t know about you, but in every network marketing company I have ever seen, you only need a VERY SMALL percentage of those 1.8 Billion people to make a six and seven figure income for your self.

Now, keep in mind I’m speaking from experience here. As soon as I began using online MLM marketing strategies in my business, I noticed a HUGE difference. People who are LOOKING for a business simply found me online. I began generating unlimited leads and customers. I was able to sponsor more people than I ever had been able to before, and even started making money when people said NO to my opportunity!

My friend, this can all happen for you, too. If you have the right training and mentoring, this can be your reality.

Now, I have to admit that the old-school ways of doing things – they ways I used to use to build my business – were just plain uncomfortable and weird. You know – anywhere that wasn’t home you talk to everyone about your business, ask random people for referrals, use the “3-foot Rule” (which is really awful), constantly talk about my products, et cetera.

When you constantly feel like you have to talk about your business, when you have to chase after people, you stop having fun. But this is what 98% of the people in the home based business industry do for business development. It’s not very professional. Now there is a way that you can stop “prospecting” in the mall, bombarding people to convince them they need your opportunity. Do you want to take advantage?

The point is that online MLM marketing strategies are a much more INTELLIGENT way to market your business in the 21st century.

Are You Still Working For Money?

I am sometimes asked, “Why do so few people make it to the top of their network marketing system?”

The truth is, the top of the network marketing system is open to everyone—unlike traditional corporate systems, which allow only one person to reach the top of the company. The reason most people do not reach the top is simply because they quit too soon. So why would someone quit short of the top?

Most people join only to make money. If they don’t make money in the first few months or years, they become discouraged and quit (and then often bad-mouth the industry!). Others quit and go looking for a company with a better compensation plan. But joining to make a few quick dollars is not the reason to get into the business.

The Two Essential Reasons to Join a Network Marketing Business

Reason number one is to help yourself. Reason number two is to help others. If you join for only one of these two reasons, then the system will not work for you.

Reason number one, means that you come to the business primarily to change quadrants—to change from the E (Employee) or the S (Self-employed) quadrant to the B (Business owner) or I (Investor) quadrant.

This change is normally very difficult for most people—because of money. The true E or S quadrant person will not work unless it is for money. This is also what causes people to not reach the top of the network marketing system: they want money more than they want to change quadrants.

A B quadrant or I quadrant person will also work for money, but in a different way. The B quadrant person works to build or create an asset—in this case, a business system. The I quadrant person invests in the asset or the system.

The beauty of most network marketing systems is that you do not really make much money unless you help others leave the E and S quadrants and succeed in the B and I quadrants. If you focus on helping others make this shift, then you will be successful in the business.

As a B or an I, sometimes you don’t get paid for years; this, a true E quadrant or S quadrant person will not do. It’s not part of their core values. Risk and delayed gratification disturb them emotionally.

Delayed Gratification and Emotional Intelligence

One of the beauties of network marketing is that it focuses on developing your emotional intelligence as well as your business skills.

Emotional intelligence is an entirely different matter from academic intelligence. In general, someone with high emotional intelligence will often do better than someone with high academic intelligence but low emotional intelligence. That explains, in part, why some people do well in school but not so well in the real world.

The ability to delay gratification is a sign of higher emotional intelligence. In a recent study of emotional intelligence, it was found that people who could delay gratification often led more successful lives than those who could not.

This is why the educational system inherent in a good network marketing opportunity is so important. It’s the emotional education or emotional intelligence aspect of their programs that I find so valuable for people.

Many people write me and tell me they loved my book, Rich Dad, Poor Dad, but I fear that many of them don’t get the most important point of the book: Lesson #1, “The rich don’t work for money.”

Once I have built or bought an asset, that asset works hard to make money for me. But I will not work for money—I will work only to build or buy assets. Those assets make me richer and richer, while I work less and less. That is what the rich do. The poor and middle class work hard for money, and then buy liabilities instead of investing in assets.

What Kind of Asset is a Network Marketing Business?

Remember, there are two reasons required to be successful in network marketing: to help yourself, and to help others. Reason number one means helping yourself get to the B side of the quadrant. What about reason number two

The beauty of most network marketing systems is that you don’t really make much money unless you help others leave the E and S quadrants and succeed in the B and I quadrants. If you focus on helping others make this shift, then you will be successful in the business

If you only want to teach yourself to be a B quadrant and I quadrant person, then a true network marketing system won’t work for you. You may as well go to a traditional business school, which focuses only on your becoming a B quadrant person.

The beauty of a network marketing business is that your goal is to create assets, which are other B’s working under you—and their job is to create other B’s working under them. In traditional business, the focus is for the B to have only E’s and S’s working for them.

The type of business I was taught to build is a business with me at the top and E’s and S’s at the base. I really don’t have room at the top for many other B’s, which is why in my businesses, I strongly recommend that all my employees look into network marketing as their own part-time businesses.

The traditional corporate system really is a pyramid, because there are a few B’s and I’s near the top, and more E’s and S’s at the base. A network marketing system is a reverse pyramid: its primary focus is to bring up more and more B’s to the top.

One type of pyramid, the traditional type, has its base on the ground; the other type has its base in the air. It’s a pyramid that pulls you up instead of pushing you down. A network marketing business gives everyone access to what used to be the domain only of the rich.

Unless you already know that using online MLM marketing strategies is a must for building your business, don’t even bother to read this article.

Now obviously since you are still reading this, you are serious about using the internet as a large part of building your MLM business.

3. Pitching your opportunity and company products and brochures VS. Branding and Positioning yourself with your own Blog.

4. Building a limited sized names list of your friends and family who are not even interested in your business VS. Building a ‘names list’ of UNLIMITED people looking for what you have to offer online with your own autoresponder.

Like I said, I’m sure you get the picture.

This doesn’t mean that I think you should stop building your business offline. But I do think that there is no comparison. If you are not using online methods to build your business you are simply missing out.

What it all comes down to is combining online MLM marketing strategies with offline tactics. This is what the top earners do and what anyone who will be the most successful will be doing from this point on in this industry.

Unless you have been living under a rock the last few years, I am assuming you have heard of a gentleman named Frank Kern. I happen to know Franks work very well since I have been marketing online for over 10 years now. And in my humble opinion, he is the best. Now, why is Frank Kern so important to your internet network marketing success?

The answer is that as we speak, the internet network marketing/MLM industry is under going the same changes, shifts, and growth that internet marketing went through about ten years ago.

So, this means that the opportunity to create wealth for yourself is so vast. Your MLM promotion is an important part of your business success. You MUST learn to tap into your natural creative abilities so you will be able to stand out from the masses in the MLM industry. Once you develop the skills necessary to promote your business, this is when it gets fun and you start to see BIG time success.

Creativity is the ability to generate innovative ideas and manifest them from thought into reality The process involves original thinking and then producing. Creativity has been attributed variously to divine intervention, cognitive processes, the social environment, personality, and chance (“accident”, “serendipity”). Although intuitively a simple phenomenon, it is in fact quite complex. Used to refer of creating new ideas, approach that can generate and lead to a sensation creative people must always stay active and learn to keep track of their ideas at all time. You never known when the next MLM promotion idea  may occur and as an entrepreneur we must stay awake and not let them go to sleep. Here are a few examples on how to improve your creative abilities.

  • Learn about things outside your specialty. Bring ideas and concepts from one field or specialty to another.

Henry David Thoreau once said, “I know of no more encouraging fact than the unquestionable ability of man to elevate his life by conscious endeavor.” How true that is, and this is why we need to be sure we are asking ourselves the best questions possible and in doing so, discovering what we didn’t know that we didn’t even know.

Okay my friend, here we go…
